Raymond Lincolnwood’s unbeaten duals start to the prep boys golf season survived a threat Monday at Shoal Creek.

The Lancers came in at 162 to edge Auburn by one stroke in a quadrangular in Raymond. Auburn’s 163 defeated Carlinville at 193 and Mount Olive at 201.

Carlinville was led by Henry Kufa’s 43 and the Cavaliers counted 50s from Mason Duckles, Sam Quarton and Justin Paul. Mount Olive picked up a 45 from Blake Dickerson and 49 from Owen Scheller.

Auburn got a medalist 36 from Logan Kavish and 39 from Luke Boesdorfer. Lincolnwood was led by a 37 from Nate Brockmeyer to lead four Lancers coming in at 42 or better to send the Lancers’ dual mark to 5-0. Auburn is 5-3.


Carlinville 2-1 in quad – Elsa Mefford shot 40 to lead Carlinville to a 200 in a four-team dual at Shoal Creek in Raymond. Williamsville swept the dual at 192, with host Lincolnwood at 208 and North Mac at 239.

The Cavs scored 53 from both Brigid Dunn and Marlee Whitler and 54 from Peyton Drew to back Mefford. Williamsville’s Faith Davis shot 38 and was the lone golfer to break 40. The Bullets added a 45 from Sophie Zen.

Lincolnwood was led by Dorie Krager’s 47, while North Mac’s Jenna Blankenship posted a 57.

CM wins triangular – Civic Memorial shot 189 to pick up victories over Roxana (212) and Dupo (270) at Cloverleaf golf course in Alton. The Shells’ split was led by Mia McCoy and Sarah Floyd both shooting 48.
